About Us
In 2009 the North Dakota College Access Network (NDCAN) partnered with the Student Loans of North Dakota’s (SLND) College Information Service (CIS) to provide you with a wide collection of college resources to make your college planning easier and “within YOUR reach!”
NDCAN serves as a statewide college access network of stakeholders in North Dakota.
These stakeholders work together to assist students to enter and remain in postsecondary education.
The network is funded under the North Dakota College Access Challenge Grant (NDCACG) provided by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by the North Dakota University System (NDUS). The College Access Challenge Grant (CACG) is a federally-funded formula grant program designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enroll and succeed in postsecondary education.
The www.nd-can.com Web site and the ND College Access Network Annual Conference have been developed to provide current college access resource information to students, parents and educational support professionals.
RUReadyND.com, formerly known as Bridges Guidance Central, (a software program provided by Bank of North Dakota, SLND and College SAVE) serves as the soft match for the grant. The software allows for career exploration, education planning and ACT test preparation. It is provided to all public and private middle schools and high schools in North Dakota.
